Happy Sunday folks! I hope you’re enjoying this glorious long weekend. Today I managed to plant all my summer greens on the balcony, which I’m hoping will do better than last year when I consistently forgot to water them… thankfully the squirrels leave my salad and kale alone, although I have given up on tomatoes due to those damn tree rats. Here is what y’all have been up to this week.
Quite taken with Veronica Darling’s panel-print Davie dress.
I WANT this jacket by Crab & Bee. I’M COMING FOR IT MORGAN. WATCH YOUR BACK.
I was happy to see this graphic Inari Tee by Sew Amy Sew; I was tempted to buy it even though I could draft it myself in an hour or so. It’s a great shape.
That Alexander McQueen kimono jacket is on my sewing bucket list; I oohed and aahed over this slightly military version by the Petite Republique.
I loved Lucky Lucille’s deer print cotton dress; the shape of the back scoop is so flattering.
No more alien body tyranny! Cashmerette is releasing a curvy sketchbook!
I loooooove this new jacket pattern from Tessuti.
I really enjoyed reading this post from By Gum By Golly on why she’s not participating in Me-Made-May. It made me feel better about not posting all my outfits on Instagram this week. I love the concept of MMM but the execution is tricky, especially when you’re like me and have a tendency to wear the same Hudson pants 2 or 3 days in a row….
I’m trying to have people over more often these days. It’s incentive to properly clean and an excuse to actually bust out the more advanced recipes. Last night I went Momofuko crazy and made pork belly ssam AND hanger steak ssam. Crazy delicious – the mustard sauce for the pork belly is next level. I also HIGHLY recommend this Momofuko strawberry shortcake recipe, but I would use a teaspoon instead of a tablespoon of salt next time.
