This has been a stellar week for projects I want to travel to so I can steal in the middle of the night. IF ONLY I HAD AIR MILES AND A LOCK PICK SET.
Roisin is soooo good at re-using patterns again and again in new and novel ways. This midi Emery dress with THAT PRINT is stupendous.
An adorable pineapple print setacular by Holly Dolly.
This “dress form jacket” by an Overflowing Stash is so smart, funny and beautifully made. And I want it. Badly.
Proving that pregnancy doesn’t mean you can’t still be a baberoni, Beaute J’Adore kills it. Again.
Mainely Dad made an awesome suit. I love this guy and his moustache.
Lip love Holly from House of Pinheiro.
Heather B’s 40’s dress makes the eyeballs smile.
Carolyn hand dyed a million shades of blue corduroy for her colourblocked dress, because she is a sewing ninja.
Lladybird’s rayon challis Sureau = yum.
Norma at Orange Lingerie just released her first bra pattern. Knowing this lady, it’s going to be meticulously drafted!
As you know, I am a red lipstick-aholic. Nothing makes me feel more polished. This red lipstick guide from Oh Happy Day is a real treat. Happy to see my favourites represented; Mac Lady Danger and Rimmel 010.
Joan Rivers passed this week and the world is infinitely less funny. Do yourself a favour and watch her documentary, A Piece of Work, streaming on Netflix. One of my favourite podcasters Julie Klausner eulogized her beautifully here: “Joan showed me by example that generosity only brings more into your own life.”
I just DEVOURED Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple. It’s a gentle satire set in Seattle and is written by an Emmy winning writer of Arrested Development. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long while. Huge thumbs up.
I’ve totally got my cooking mojo back. I’m really excited to make the best of the end of the summer harvest with this corn cheddar strata, coconut tomato carrot soup, corn and fennel chowder, and zucchini agrodulce.
