It’s been a crazy busy year and we need a little more help around the studio to grow Closet Case Files in 2016. If you’re a crafty and creative Montrealer, I’m talking to you!

We need a part-time studio assistant to help with sample making, pattern development, social media, shipping and general admin. It’s a bit of a Girl Friday position so I’m looking for an intermediate to advanced sewist with experience working in Adobe Illustrator, along with a great attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn. If you or someone you know would be a good fit, take a look at your job description here and apply by January 3rd.

  • I’d be tempted to move to Montreal, but I just can’t abide by those strange things you call bagels… 😉

      Those are fighting words! 🙂

      • I’m glad you noticed, K! 😉

  • Aunty Maimu

Why you have to be over there and I all the way over here? It would be a good fit for me… thou my attitude is more cranky granny but that’s only due to too much caffeine in my system! I think.

  • Wish I lived closer 🙂

  • Ryann

such an exciting step for your business!! Congrats and may a flood of awesome candidates come your way!

  • We would never get anything done.

  • That’s so exciting! Good for you for investing in labour to free yourself up! 🙂

  • I have recently discovered what the term “girl friday” means. Before I read an article by an American frustrated with the Aussie job market I had never even heard it before. Exciting times.

Edmonton is a bit of a commute, otherwise I’d apply in a heartbeat. All of my theatre-stitcher-Montreal-export buddies have since drifted back to Edmonton, otherwise I’d send a couple applicants your way. Now, I know in ole Etown that we stitcher types are often lookng to supplement our incomes. I don’t know about our counterparts in Montreal, but if for some absurd reason you don’t get any great applicants, maybe shoot an email to your local IATSE hall asking if they’d circulate your posting to their stitchers. That would certianly be kosher with our hall, and anyway the worst they could do is say no.
    Good luck!
