THIS WEEK IN SEWING BLOGS // VOL. 97

Happy Sunday everyone! Alexis here, I’m pleased to meet you all! I’ve been helping Heather “behind the scenes” for a few months now and here I am today to keep up everybody’s favourite Sunday round-up tradition while Heather enjoys a well-earned holiday in Europe. I am the luckiest girl… Harry has been spending the week at my place. He and my cat have become fast friends- I had to separate them one night because there was too much cuddling going on. Yes, seriously! Heather will be back this week and will catch you up on her trip, but here are some fun links to tide you over until her return.

ADMIRE

Fiona is so elegant in her berry jumpsuit (and cute silver sandals).

This abstract print Christy chose for her midi dress is so neat. I’m a fan of the vivid blue.

Meg, I love your swishy wrap dress!

The scale of the print on this maxi-dress that Mokosha made for her friend adds so much drama and interest.

Kudos to Lauren on her pattern matching on princess seams. Gorgeous fabric from Peru!

Have you seen the new Cotton & Steel collaboration with Rifle Paper Co.? My obsession with beautiful stationery supplies is finally expressed in quilting cottons!

MAKE

Crochet a plant pot from cut up jeans. If you’re making Morgan or Ginger Jeans, don’t throw away your denim scraps!

WATCH

I got a kick out of this video about e-cups for men, and maybe you will too… a great way for male employees to understand a lingerie brand’s target audience?

The repair job on this old pair of jeans was fascinating to watch and resonates with our slow fashion values as makers.
