Happy Sunday Makers! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. We drove up to Toronto this weekend for a quick visit with my family. Harry just got neutered so he’s wearing the cone of shame, although he’s taking it on the chin like a real champ. I am hoping this means I’ll never have to deal with humping. A girl can dream! Here’s what you’ve been up to…
This lobster bustle from The Demented Fairy is cuckoo bananas.
Simple navy perfection from Attack of the Seam Ripper.
How pretty is this Liberty print Archer shirt from Make Something?
Basically my dream tank from Fringe Association; hemp silk! HEMP SILK!
The Larnari, a great pattern hack Helen’s Closet.
Speaking of hacks, I love Heather B’s trapeze dresses!
Gold metallic skirty goodness over on Yes I like That.
Crushing on this dress and that smile from Creations du Paillon.
Jasika’s striped Sallie makes prison stripes look chic.
Tasia sold Sewaholic Patterns to Spool of Thread Sewing Lounge! Wishing them and Tasia the best of luck going forward.
I randomly caught an episode of SNL a few weeks ago and was totally magnetized by the natural faced performer, who I didn’t realize until later was Alicia Key because she looked so alive and fresh and totally different. She just wrote a really inspiring piece about not wearing make-up anymore for Lenny, and it resonated with me since I’ve started wearing a lot less make up too (though you’ll tear that red lipstick out of my cold, dead hands). Here is the SNL clip that stopped me in my tracks.
A perfectly obsessive piece from David Coffin on getting beautiful, sharp shirt collars in the new Seamwork.
