THIS WEEK IN SEWING BLOGS Vol. 85

Happy Sunday makers! I got my hair done for the new pattern shoot yesterday and today I’m rocking tousled beachy waves and wishing my head looked this fabulous every day. In a few hours I’ll be at my girlfriend’s house teaching a  few friends how to make pierogis and am excited to give my arms a dough workout. Hope you’re having a  crafty weekend wherever you are!

ADMIRE

A few really cool coats this week; love this leather sleeved drapey beast from Mokosha and this raw-edged coat from Noble & Daughter.

Roisin is a walking spring picnic.

Rachel is a chic Little Red Riding Hood.

Another gorgeous cape project from Miss Crayola Creepy.

I really want a copy of Amanda’s watercolour wrap dress… I’m going to use the Wren pattern to achieve it 😉

Totally fixated on the Vogue cocoon dress pattern Lauren used; what a rad shape.

I’ve been on a Mandy tee making tear; need to replicate this nautical version from Lisa.

F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S reversible jacket from an Overflowing Stash.

Yet another spectacular Alabama Chanin outfit from Handmade by Carolyn….

Some foxy sweater knit Nettie dresses over on Clio & Phineas.

LISTEN

A really interesting interview with Gretchen Jones about sustainability and the current state of the fashion industry.

SEE

Absolutely loved this tour of an indie denim company factory….

KNIT

I thought I swore off super chunky knits but this cool pattern from Loopy Mango is mighty tempting (thanks for enabling Fringe Association….)
