THIS WEEK IN SEWING BLOGS vol. 81

Back pocket design // This week in sewing blogs vol. 81

Happy Monday makers! Somehow I accidentally forgot to publish this post on Sunday so here goes….  Hope you had a great weekend. G dogsat for me on Saturday so I could have a whole uninterrupted day to sew stuff in the studio without worrying about the pup eating all my needles. It was glorious, but I missed the little bugger too. I hope you got a chance to make something this weekend as well.

ADMIRE

Becca’s black vintage dress is the reason I started sewing; sweet 60’s style in the front, backless sexpot from behind.

A sweet little off the shoulder refashion from Charity Shop Chic.

Try not to smile with glee when you see this Pam Grier approved, Missoni print duster That Black Chic made for her daughter.

Sweet striped Carolyn pjs from Tilly & the Buttons; love the covered buttons.

Love the facing on this breton top from So Zo.

A fun polka dot Anna dress on the By Hand London blog; can’t wait to make a new version this summer! Should it be an annual tradition?

Another gorgeous Ava dress from Suzy Bee sews.

Lisa from Tessuti made the vintage sundress of my dreams….

NEWS

A terrific new pattern collection from Deer & Doe; had a major case of website envy with their redesign!

Did you see Sophie’s (aka Ada Spragg) new leather bag class on Skillshare? Looks fabulous.

So much nerdy  goodness on the Thread Theory blog; Morgan shares a bunch of videos on how various sewing tools are made.
