Happy Sunday makers! I’ve been busy sewing up new samples of our Sallie Jumpsuit and Carolyn Pajamas for an upcoming photoshoot, while Alexis has been documenting the construction of our upcoming pattern for a sewalong. There is a lot of thread on the floor. I’ve also been trying to squeeze in some personal sewing (that’s my Zadie dress from Tilly up top), and I’ve managed to cut out quite a few things from my spring sewing plan. I hope you’re finding time to make beautiful things for the coming warmth too.
I absolutely love yellow but find its hard to pull off near my face, which is why I am kind of obsessed with these gold trousers from Clio & Phineas.
When I posted my metallic linen Farrow dress this week, Anneke commented with a link to an absolutely drop dead stunning formal gown she made with a similar fabric (she also included a tutorial to modify a basic bodice block to get the same results!)
Megan made her new Flint pants in a soft denim and they are making me excited to make like, ten pairs of this pattern this season.
A great post from What Katie Sews on breaking in me-made jeans with sandpaper.
I love the little ankle detail on these Hudson pants from Sasha.
A lovely Liberty sundress from Bobbin & Baste.
The perfect graphic work sheath from Amanda.
I just DEVOURED the Fifteen Lives of Harry August. It’s perfect sci-fi, but written so well you’ll love it even if you’re not a fan of the genre.
We saw Get Out in the theatre last night and it’s pretty much the perfect horror movie since it’s about real life horror. Also you’ll get to see Catherine Keener play a bad guy.
