Happy Sunday makers! This week has been filled with personal sewing projects for me; I managed to finish all my handmade Christmas presents, along with a Watson Bra and pair of Carolyn pajamas, all while battling a cold that has now turned into a  sinus infection. Praying it starts clearing up before my flight on Tuesday or I will be curled up in the fetal position while my head explodes somewhere over the Atlantic. This will be the last weekly round-up until January – if you want to keep in touch while I’m away for the holidays, I’m sure I’ll be posting lots of pictures on Instagram.

Oh, and if you’re looking for a good listen this week, check out the latest Seamwork Radio episode. While I was in Portland this fall I had a chance to interview Project Runway winner Gretchen Jones; I think Sarai did a great job of molding that rambling 2 hour conversation into a tight little narrative about reality tv fame, the fashion design industry and the reality of being a confidant woman with an idiosyncratic voice. I also did a closet tour of some of Gretchen’s favourite pieces for Seamwork magazine if you’d like some visuals.

Adore By Gum By Golly’s Nancy Drew themed wrap dress; reminds me of the time I wrote an essay in university about Nancy Drew as early feminist icon.

The wedding dress reveal on Charity Shop Chic knocked my socks off this week. One word: whoa.

Lauren’s handwoven dress is everything.

How cute is this Watson bikini from We the Sewing?

So impressed with the moto jacket Polda Pop recycled from a wedding dress for one lucky client.

Blogless Anna makes me long for spring in this bright floral shift.

Behold! A truly glorious gold mesh underwear set from Makes the Things (nice to have you back Steph!)

Heather calls this a “hack” but whatever she did to my Nettie pattern should truly be called a “Holy cow”. This red wrap dress is a stunner.

When Peter from Male pattern Boldness revealed he was making a colourblocked normcore shirt I got scared. Stupid me. This pastel confection makes me really happy.

Wish I had time to make this dope wine bottle tote from Taylor Tailor!

This video made me laugh extremely hard this week.
