Last winter, the Cone Mills closed its iconic White Oak plant in North Carolina. We offered our trademark kits for what we thought was the last time, but after they sold out in record time we wanted to give you the opportunity to get your hands on this “final reserve” of American made denim. In February we got as much White Oak denim as we could before it was gone, and we’ve been sitting on the motherload ever since.
This time, we have five gorgeous denim kits in stock that include everything you need to make a pair of jeans. Choose between non-stretch (perfect for our Morgan Boyfriend jeans) or four types of S-Gene stretch denim, including a hard to find variety in railroad stripe, all of which would work perfectly for our Ginger Jeans. S-Gene denim is a revelation; it has the best recovery of any denim we’ve tried, meaning your jeans will keep their shape and won’t bag out with wear. It’s the only denim I use for my own Gingers.
Now that the American mill has closed, we won’t be offering these kits again. When it’s gone, it’s gone…
